Three things you must know about me...

1. I love good deals 2. I am not very great in the kitchen and 3. I love salsa!

When I first arrived to NYC 5 years ago one of the first things I really missed was good authentic Mexican food…especially chips and salsa. Utah is just so much better in that department!  After awhile I decided I was going to have to make my own salsa to help my cravings! For the longest time I was making my salsa with my magic bullet, it was fine and got the job done but it was really small and I would have to make multiple batches over and over. Finally...last week that all changed when I got this new amazing food processor/blender from this amazing website JOINEM--literally a dream shopping site if you're a deal lover like me. I've been wanting to get a new super dooper blender but wasn't wanting to spend a lot. Then I found an amazing product listed on this site for such a great price. I've been sending all my friends over there to shop for new baby goods, father's day gifts etc. because there are so many great things to buy at cheap prices. Of course the day my blender arrived I made my 1st BIG batch of salsa…for the first time I had left overs and could save it for the weekend!! I can't wait to start blending away and attempting to make my very own soups and smoothies!!

I figured this would be a great time to share my Morgan's Salsa recipe!! It's a favorite in mi casa and I will be making it more often now with my new blender!!!

What you need:

1 can of Hunt's whole peeled tomatoes

1/2 cup of chopped onions

2 tsp of cumin

2 tsp garlic salt

1/2 tsp of salt

1  jalepeno (i use half don't like it that hot)

1 lime

1: dump the can of tomatoes into the blender

2: add in the onions

3: add in the chopped jalapeños

4: add in the garlic salt, cumin and salt

5: cut the lime into half and squeeze as much juice out as possible on both slices

6: hit blend for a quick second (it blends so fast!)

and enjoy with your favorite chips!! This is my favorite treat to make at home!! It's best when chilled so I always put my batch into the fridge then serve after it cools down!
