The past few weeks have been slightly crazy - seriously it's been go go go!! I made a pretty big life change last month and am currently transitioning into the next chapter of my life (I obviously had to name my new Spotify playlist "New Chapter" and it's been on repeat)

When I came to NYC from UTAH I was dead set on being an interior designer - it's what brought me to New York for an internship in the first place back in 2009. Interior design is still one of my biggest passions but in 2012 my life plan changed after working in the interior industry for a few years. I ended up making the jump into fashion! It was in the last four years I discovered my creative brain went way beyond interiors. I found that creative thinking/problem solving was my greatest passion of all! Whether it be designing an interior space, producing photo shoots/events, brainstorming ways to drive sales, creatively networking and connecting dots - I found I was good at CREATIVITY!! Sounds weird I know, but there are some things I'll be the first to say I am NOT good at but when it comes to being creative - I'm a freaking champ (test me sometime)!

The last few weeks my creativity has been on fire! I decided to transition out of YS, a place where I have been working for the past 4 years!! I am still at YS one day a week and in close contact with some of my co-workers but now I have time to focus on a new endeavor. I learned so much while at Yosi Samra and mainly because my bosses were trusting and let me run wild with my ideas which meant I had to learn through trial and error. I had to practice having no fear and reaching for the stars to get what was best for the training I could have ever asked for. YS will always remain close to my heart since I started there early in its history and put so much heart and soul into the product. Currently, I'm working on some creative projects and a new venture with a friend of mine, something that quickly fell into our laps and it feels really good! Scary because it's the unknown but exciting because I believe in us and know together we can get some cool $#it done. Ultimately I made the switch because I'd rather try and fail rather than let my dreams pass me by because of fear. I will share more details on NYC Chapter 3 soon...and I really hope in this chapter there will be a baby, a dog and a bigger apartment (with more closets) - stay tuned!

OK…so I have to admit one thing. I hate writing, I absolutely hate it. When it comes to blogging I actually have way more drafts than posts due to this reason. Tonight I wanted to shut my computer and put this post into drafts…you see I actually took the time to write a long post, with correct grammar and all, and then the computer went haywire and I lost it all. UGH!! Lesson learned to constantly hit that little save button from time to time.

In today's look I'm slowly making the transition into FALL! Today was cool enough for a light jacket but I decided to leave the house without one, I just don't want it to be jacket weather just yet! Holding out for as long as I can! I'm also dreading making the closet transition from summer to winter - especially since my apartment is so tiny - my winter clothes take up so much space!! Last year my coat rack fell off the wall from one too many jackets ;/

The one thing that makes me happy about cooler weather season is BOOTS!! These new  burgundy Veronica Booties from Sole Society is making the fall transition much better, this is my first time owning a pair of burgundy boots and I'm obsessed -- I need more (I've linked lots of options below)

These Madewell high wasted jeans were an everyday staple last year and I know they will be this season too! Also featuring my favorite new lipstick from MAC "Ariana grande Viva Glam 2" - my classic Daniel Wellington watch and Marni blouse I found on major sale two winters ago at the best 90% off sale at Century 21!! Can't forget my fav Marrakech find on my trip to Morocco - this embroidered bag was a must to bring home!! I've also linked many embroidered bag options below, some I need to quickly add to my closet!

One of the best parts about New York Fashion Week is seeing all my friends who come into town, especially my Chilean friends, as they live so far away it's so fun having them in town with me!!

This day in particular was so fun, the day was spent with one of my fav blogger squads at the Yosi Samra office! Then a quick run over to see the Marissa Webb ss17 runway show (a pure dream)! Later that night I got to help my dear friend Vesta Lugg with an audition as I read along with her... crossing all my fingers and toes this smart cookie lands the role! Follow her @vestalugg (fashion, music, acting she's the ultimate mover and shaker)

Then it was a night out with our Chilean crew (and Britton of course) :)

Second favorite part of NYFW is seeing how everyone styles themselves. It's a week for me to wear my funkiest clothes and I love it. For example check out my outfit below. Inspired by my mother-in-law and her love for Wyoming!

My t-shirt was actually purchased at the Evanston, Wyoming WALMART (with adjustments made by me)! I love this because my BFF Taylor and I use to tell people at fashion events we were wearing Wal by Mart. No one ever seemed to know the designer ;))
My sequin pants were found at Urban Outfitters and my harness was a purchase from a shop in soho - leopard everyday booties by Sam Edelman! I've linked similar options down below!

This look is inspired by my western roots with a splash of my funky obsessed style! Xx

SHOP the looks below!

Not sure this fab fitting skirt was intended to be worn with sneakers and bodysuits...but this is exactly how I prefer to wear something "pretty". I added my spin of edge and comfort to this polka gown skirt. It's odd, yes, but I guess that's just how I like to dress! I love the way this skirt fits - slim and fitting around the waist -- and best of all I've traveled with this skirt in my backpack and it never wrinkles!

What I Wore:

Skirt: Shabby Apple (SIMILAR for less) (larger polka print option here)

Bodysuit: Heather Thompson

Choker: DIY :) similar here

Converse sneakers (a closet must)

There is something I can't stop buying. I've become obsessed -- I know I use that word a lot...but with BODY SUITS my love is unreal. Many reasons to love them! 1. They dress up casual days 2. They flatter the body more than just a top or shirt. It keeps everything snug. 3 They're comfy! Yes--I know they can create wedgies but once you get past that they're great! I bought my first body suit from American Apparel - then I discovered a great selection at cheaper prices from Forever 21! I've shared some links to my favorites and also shared some recent Instagram (@morgancreative) pictures of how I styled some of my new must haves.

Hello, World!

I'm off to order some more bodysuits! My closet can't get enough!!

I may be New York livin' but I am Ogden Made.

I come from a beautiful town in Utah - a place I took for granted growing up. Can you believe I grew up minutes from an incredible ski resort and I can't even ski?! I can snowboard though…kind of ;/ From my home I had access to amazing hiking trails - lakes and mountains. I didn't spend much time in those mountains - most the time I was thinking about the day I'd move to a big city and get out of Utah. Now every time I go back to Utah I am in awe of those mountains and the beauty of my home state -- with lots of regret not spending more of my youth getting to know her beauty. 6 years in NYC and I am constantly craving the outdoors - my dad warned me that would happen over time. At first I didn't believe it but now I know he was SO right.

One of the things I love most about Utah besides her beauty is the people. Hard working and talented son of a BEEs - we are the Beehive State after all. A group of my childhood friends also from Ogden, Utah created a pretty awesome company called OGDEN MADE. Quality products from apparel and bags to get you outdoors! I admire them and anyone for going after a dream and starting something from scratch…I have so much respect for entrepreneurs -- it's terrifying to take a risk and do something different. I also love that there is brand out there making products inspired by our hometown - I became an instant fan the moment I saw their shirts and had to have my own!! All of my Ogdenites and Utah outdoor lovers need an Ogden Made T (super soft) and for only $25 it's the perfect price! Below are some of my fav selects!! Visit to see more of their goods and get yourself some Ogden Made gear!

PS this may be an outdoor inspired brand BUT I still had to stick to my style and mix the T-shirt with a thrifted 80s skirt, vintage Miu Miu heels (won a bid on ebay-- woo) and a classic prada bag.

Have you seen these fab sun hats + words floating around the inter web lately?! Yesterday I stole (jk) my friend's DAYDREAMER hat -- I've been obsessed with these hats lately. Problem is they're like neon signs for me. I want one but I don't know what I would want it to  many great options available on the web. I shared some of my favorites below!

Love this shoot from Rocky Barnes blog in her Do Not Disturb Hat (see her dreamy post here)

"ROSE ALL DAY" (yes please!) Love this Sun Hat from White Elephant design $89 shop here

See other options below!

I am a romper queen! Completely obsessed...I can't get enough of them! 1. it makes getting dressed in the morning a lot easier, only one item to pick out for your outfit (minus shoes!) 2. one-pieces are usually sooo comfy and I am always about comfort in my looks!

I'm loving floral patterns on rompers - I found 10 floral rompers that are all under $50!! Going to be adding a few of them below to my closet this summer!

Happy shopping! Pictures: @alexgeddes

The summer heat is fast approaching and in NYC that means 1 thing -- HAWT summer days and crazy humidity! How to dress for the hot summer days while still staying stylish?

I have found the perfect summer maxi!! I'm obsessed with this full length mesh camo dress from W by Worth!! This is the perfect dress to wear through summer and carry into fall. The mesh material allows for air to breeze on through to keep me cool during the hot summer days. I'm already thinking of fall outfits that will include a blouse underneath and leggings...

BUT no more talk of Fall. Summer is here (the best time of year) - this dress comes with an attached slip but i'm thinking of styling it next with a tank top and biker shorts so I feel extra comfortable! Stay tuned for more camo versions!!

Love the dress?

Order it here from W by Worth

Watch: Nanette Lepore available at Bloomingdales - this watch goes with almost everything I wear. It's on my wrist daily. The mix of rosegold + silver goes with so many items!!
